Company Overview
Starport Technologies, LLC was founded in 2006. Located in Kansas City, Missouri, Starport is RFID-centric inside and out. Starport Technologies, a “smart label” company, manufactures RFID tags that support a variety of metal-mount and supply chain applications. Based in Kansas City, Starport offerings leverage the science and technology of leading research institutions, including work initiated at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Kansas.
Using our specific operating and business strategy, we are able to provide some of the most competitive pricing available within the RFID market. As an approved converter for all major inlay manufacturers. We are able to provide many customers with lower costs than directly purchasing a converted RFID inlay from the inlay manufacturers. Starport is a growing company, developing new partnerships daily. We are actively seeking new challenges and opportunities. Meet the talented team behind our work! We’re a group of dedicated professionals, each bringing unique skills and expertise to deliver exceptional results. Get to know the people who make it all happen!
A Kansas City native, Randy has been in the printing industry since 1981 and joined the Starport team in 2015 as the lead press operator. In 2016 he joined the front office and assumed the duty of the lead engineer. Randy’s duties involve product design, quality control, RFID functional testing and identifying material specifications. Randy enjoys carpentry and working on his 69′ Camero.
Chris Brotzman is our Plant Manager. He handles the daily operations of our facility to ensure that our business runs smoothly and we meet our customers’ expectations every day. Chris enjoys all aspects of his role, including troubleshooting as needed.In his free time, Chris enjoys spending time with his family. He also likes working outside in the garage or yard. He plays golf and goes fishing when he gets the chance.
Brad Nedblake joined the printing industry in 2003 after attending William Jewel College. In 2008 Brad joined Starport Technology, at that time still in the start phase. Brad has extensive managerial and equipment skills that help Starport continue to improve on quality and efficiently. He is also responsible for the direct training of production employees. Brad enjoys biking and kayaking.
As the Customer Service Manager at Starport Technologies, Billi is dedicated to ensuring every client interaction is seamless and successful. With a comprehensive background in billing, shipping, and office operations, she brings a holistic understanding of the business to her leadership of the support team. When she’s not at work, Billi enjoys gardening.
Eric Brown is our Sales Engineer. He handles sales with new and current customers, quality systems management, manufacturing engineering and management and new product development. At work he loves finding new ways to solve different problems and meeting new people through business. When he’s away from work he enjoys hanging out with friends and family, attending K-State and Kansas City sporting events, working on cars and sometimes relaxing and watching TV and movies.
Derick Duckworth is our Graphic Designer. He creates proofs for our label designs, schedules the presses, and assists the encoding team. At work, he enjoys using his knowledge of drafting to help his coworkers. In his free time, Derick likes to play disc golf with friends and he also plays video games.
Sanders Roth is our Sales Consultant who takes care of our customer service, product development and sales. He enjoys fixing inefficiencies at work and building new relationships with suppliers and customers. When he’s away from work you can find him spending time with friends and family, traveling, biking and going to theaters and other entertainment venues.
