With over 75 years of combined narrow web converting experience, the management team of Starport Technologies has engineered and assembled an RFID tag and label converting platform unique to the industry. Starport Technologies is an approved convertor of Alien, Avery Dennison, and Raflatac RFID transponders. For RFID tag and label converting, Starport Technologies uses a Nilpeter F3000 pressure sensitive label press. The Nilpeter has been modified to except the integration of a Tamarack Versa-Web P500. The Tamarack Versa-Web P500 provides RFID transponder affixing capabilities to a wide selection of materials. Additional modification were made to the Nilpeter including multiple unwind and rewind capabilities, highly engineered tensioning controls, electro static discharging system, pressure sensitive coating capabilities and ultra sonic web tracking. These modifications allowed for multiple webs to be introduced for complex inline web converting. Starport Technologies has the ability to combine various face materials, adhesives, RFID transponders, printing, and other specialty coated web materials allowing for a unique combination of materials being converted into a single pass through the converting platform. This unique converting capability allows for the Starport Technologies to offer a wide range of RFID products and other types of smart labels for numerous functional purposes.
